- Beginning August 4, 2026, GitHub Spark will no longer accept new users or allow the creation of new apps. Existing users can continue to access and use apps they have already created. About Spark
Spark allows users to build intelligent applications using natural-language prompts. Spark includes advanced controls and built-in design tools for customization. Once published, applications can be shared with teammates or deployed to production.

- GitHub Spark is not currently available for enterprises that use GitHub Enterprise Cloud with data residency.
Prerequisites
To use Spark, your enterprise must be on a Copilot Enterprise plan.
Enabling Spark for your Copilot subscribers
By default, Spark is disabled for users who receive a Copilot Enterprise license from an enterprise-owned organization.
You can allow members to use Spark from the AI Controls tab for your enterprise. See Managing policies and features for GitHub Copilot in your enterprise.
